Information about asynchronous electric drive, including design features, physical processes in asynchronous motor, its mechanical and electromechanical characteristics in various operating modes. General description of asynchronous electric drive control methods is given. Considerable attention is paid to the laws of frequency control and dynamic characteristics in frequency control modes. Features of the mathematical description of an asynchronous motor based on the theory of a generalized electrical machine and methods for its modeling taking into account the requirements of vector control are noted.
