The collection includes scientific research carried out by employees of a number of academic institutes and leading universities in the framework of prospective imagology - a new branch of historical knowledge that studies which systems of images are involved in establishing relations of domination and subordination, in acquiring and retaining power, in building ties between different groups of elites, on the one hand, and between the dominant and subservient strata of society, on the other.
