James Willard Schultz (1859-1947) lived for many years among the Indians of North America, with the Sixiku tribe (black-footed). The themes of his wonderful true books, imbued with extraordinary warmth and sympathy for the indigenous inhabitants of the American continent, are drawn directly from the life of the Indians, from their traditions and legends.
