The results of a long-term project for a textual survey of the sights of the 13th century annals - the Galicia-Volyn annals. Methodical reading and post-fragmentary explanatory commentary of its text elucidates and substantiates the main milestones in the history of the monument: the origin of the current structure of the text; stages of its formation and their sequence; a timeline of "editorial episodes"; timing various pieces of text to certain "editorial episodes"; sources of text. The book contains research, a systematic commentary, speakers for the text of the Galician-Volyn annals (according to the oldest Ipatiev list), as well as a bibliographic index of works on the Galician-Volyn annals.
