The determinant handbook consists of 2 volumes and contains color and black-and-white images and descriptions of about 1000 species of herbaceous plants (out of 18000 species of plants growing in the USSR), information on their distribution, living conditions, flowering time, economic significance, as well as a brief description of the plant areas of the country, a dictionary of morphological terms and some reference materials. The first volume contains images and descriptions of about half of the species included in the reference book - from the millipede family to the legume family, the second volume contains the rest of the species (from the Geranium family to the Asteraceae family).
