The collection includes the best humorous stories of Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Lokhvitskaya, who entered the literature under her pseudonym Teffi. Sparkling feuilletons and humoresques of this writer, who was called "satirist in a skirt" and "queen of Russian humor," read the whole country at the beginning of the 20th century. The collection includes over fifty short stories and short stories published in the emigrant newspaper Vozrozhdenie from 1927 to 1936, and have never been reprinted since. The collection was illustrated by contemporary artist Svetlana Nosovskaya.
