Alexander Fedorovich Kerensky - a key figure in the history of the February Revolution of 1917. Hardly any other top official of the state has ever enjoyed such universal adoration as Kerensky in the first months after the overthrow of the tsarist regime. His name was associated with hopes for a democratic renewal of Russia, for the transformation of the country into a prosperous, free state. But these hopes were not destined to come true, and very soon universal adoration was replaced by equally universal hatred for the Prime Minister of the Provisional Government.
