In 1947, the book "Economics of the Ruhr, " prepared by the French Institute of Statistics and Economic Research, was published in Paris. This book, offered in translation to Soviet readers, consists of three parts. The most valuable part of the book is a series of maps and diagrams dealing with the economics of the Ruhr. These maps are not original, but they are selected in such a way that, together, they give a fairly complete economic and geographic characteristic of the Ruhr. The maps are reproduced without significant changes. The book also includes a set of statistical tables. Most tables contain valuable digital material.
