The mental movement that gave rise to the French Revolution did not begin with the time of philosophers. The entire XVIII century served as a preparation for disaster. The proposed work shows how the fermentation of social thought began, how the opposition spirit gradually developed and turned into a revolutionary spirit, how the manifestations of the latter went with increasing force until 1789.
