The new book by Rustam Nabi (Nabiev) is devoted to the problem of the "Battle of Kulikovo." The application of an integrated approach to the analysis of various kinds of sources allowed the researcher to assert with a greater degree of confidence that the "Battle of Kulikovo" as described in the history books did not and could not be. In the years 1380-1381. a large-scale struggle took place in the country between the western and eastern coalitions led by Mamai and Tokhtamysh. With the support of Timur of Samarkand (Tamerlane), Tokhtamysh won, as witnessed by contemporaries.
