This publication is a collection of articles by M.N. Pokrovsky (1868-1932), the leader of Marxist historians in the 20s of the XX century. In his work "Diplomacy and Wars of Tsarist Russia in the 19th Century," published in 1923 in Moscow, M.N. Pokrovsky argued that the inclusion of the outskirts in the Russian Empire was "an absolute evil." The publication includes articles by the historian on the issues of the Caucasian War, the conquest policy in the Caucasus, the Eastern question and the foreign policy of Russia at the end of the 19th century.
