The monograph investigated primarily the military aspects of the Yekaterinburg operation, which took place from July 13 to August 12, 1918. For the first time in Russian historiography, an attempt was made to recreate one of the decisive episodes of the Civil War, which led to the capture of the center of Soviet power in the Urals - the city of Yekaterinburg, which had a significant impact on the further course of the confrontation between whites and reds in eastern Russia.
