Over the past 15 years, the Association of Researchers of Russian Society (AIRO-XXI), together with the Lotman Institute of the Ruhr University in Bochum and the Moscow Bureau of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, have been monitoring myths in post-Soviet Russia. Modern man-made myths are based on the principles of archaic, which largely coincide with propaganda technologies designed to manipulate people's minds - nothing should be questioned, there is only one truth, attempts to challenge it are suppressed. Therefore, it was proposed to discuss three aspects of the old-new myth "The West as an enemy" - its historical aspects, the nature and structure of resuscitation, the philosophy and technology of its penetration into information wars
