Hundreds, if not thousands of studies, retellings and popular books have been written about ancient mythology. We can say with confidence that the book of the Polish writer J. Parandovsky belongs to the best of them. Jan Parandovsky did not set himself the task of exhausting the topic, he does not retell all the myths and does not burden his story with unnecessary details. But he does something immeasurably more useful and important.
