This edition includes a number of materials related to the history of Russian Freemasonry. In addition to the article by B. I. Nikolaevsky "Russian Masons at the beginning of the 20th century," the book contains interviews about Freemasonry recorded by Nikolaevsky, some of his notes and excerpts from correspondence regarding Masons. As appendices, the book includes a chapter from the memoirs of the prominent Freemason D. Bebutov, an article by G. Aronson "Masons in Russian Politics," published in the newspaper "New Russian Word" on October 8-10 and 12, 1959, a message about Freemasonry Metropolitan Anthony and some of the papers of Freemason N.P. Vakar concerning the activities of Russian Freemasons in exile in France in the twenties.
