This book is the first work in Russian Iranian studies that summarizes materials and studies on the history of Persian literature of the 19th-20th centuries. The volume consists of two main parts - "Persian Poetry" and "Persian Artistic Prose." The book also included an essay on the Persian-language literature of Hindustan. The publication is equipped with an extensive bibliography and an index of names.
