Lefort Book - a collection of essays on the problems of philosophy of politics. Moving from political analyzes by H. Arendt to the concepts of ATOKVILLE, J. Michle, E. Kine, from considering the nature of power in a monarchy to the problems of modern democracy, Lefort seeks to reveal the essence of the political as such. He considers the latter not as it is customary in political science or political sociology, that is, not as a certain special sphere of public life, located at a distance from other spheres (economic, social, etc.). He understands the political in accordance with the philosophical tradition dating back to Plato, sees in him the totality of principles underlying people's relations to each other and to the world, the quintessence of one or another "form of society."
