The monograph is devoted to the consideration of the perception of the events of the Battle of Kulikovo in the public consciousness of Russia during the XV-XX centuries. Particular attention is paid to the Don massacre itself and its understanding in early sources, as well as in research, journalism, works of art, and painting.
