The monograph examines the question of the short but heroic armed struggle of the Soviets of Siberia against counter-revolutionary forces in 1917-1918. The triumphal procession of Soviet power in Russia was in full swing, when the workers and peasants of Siberia had to take up arms to defend their power. Behind the back of the Russian White Guard stood foreign imperialism, which inspired the armed actions of atamans Semenov, Gamov, Annenkov and others, provoking open intervention against the Soviet Republic from the east. Despite the fact that the heroic struggle of the Siberian Soviets in 1918 ended in defeat, with all its power it thwarted the plans of the leaders of the intervention to throw the Czech-White Guard troops from the east to the Volga, where the fate of the Revolution was being decided. The purpose of the book is to fill the gap in the study of the history of October and the civil war in Siberia. The coverage of the processes and the very course of the armed struggle should perpetuate the outstanding era in the history of Siberia, the glorious feat of the heroic defenders of October.
