The reformatting of the memory of the Russian people at one of its most explosive sites, the December 14 uprising, is being investigated. It is produced by Kremlin technologists with the active assistance of Orthodox monarchists. The pragmatics of Putin's regime are obvious. To strengthen it, it is necessary to discredit Herzen's "metaphor of rebellion," through which irremovable Russian power changed in 1917 and 1991. Dicredition proceeds with complete non-resistance of the liberal "stratum of society." Her indifference to her "main myth" testifies that the history of the Russian intelligentsia is ending.
