The book is devoted to selectively acting toxic compounds, i.e. such substances that affect only certain types of cells and do not affect other cells, even those in direct contact with them. Some of these substances cause permanent damage, acting on the principle of "all or nothing," while others are clearly dose-dependent and reversible.
