This book is a practical introduction to building distributed models in the NetLogo multi-agent modeling environment. The book considers both classical distributed models, including cellular automata, neural networks, genetic algorithms, and relatively modern ones, for example, methods and models of swarm intelligence. Each chapter of the publication is devoted to exactly one model: first, the original model is considered, then the process of its implementation in the NetLogo environment is described in detail, at the end of the chapter there is a set of exercises for a deeper independent study of the considered model or its variations.
