In 1960-1963 Czechoslovak orientalists Jan Marek and Dusan Zbavitel visited Pakistan. The Academy of Sciences of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic sent them to this country to study its history, literature and folk art. Returning to their homeland, scientists decided to tell compatriots about their trips to Pakistan, about the life of ordinary people in this distant country, about meetings with its poets and writers. This is how the book "Two Pakistan" appeared, which was published in Prague in 1964. Now the book of our Czechoslovak friends has been translated into Russian and Soviet readers can familiarize themselves with it.
