Urban growth and population growth have long been a global phenomenon. The influence of the urban environment negatively affects those natural fragments that are still preserved within urban areas, which is an undoubted loss for residents. We must make every effort to preserve natural ecosystems, but for this we need to be well aware of the patterns by which they develop. The study of forest ecosystems and their components in specific urban conditions should be the subject of a special branch of forest science - urbolesology.
