The basics of the technology of manufacturing castings in single forms from dispersed materials are presented. Calculations of gate systems, nature of interaction of casting and mold, peculiarities of formation of dimensional accuracy in designing and manufacturing of parts are given. Casting defects and methods of their control are described.
