Textbooks on the course "Literature of Great Britain" for specialized school and high schools with in-depth study of English, students of foreign languages, the subject of which is the historical development of literature in England, the formation of genres in different historical periods, the level of their popularity among contemporaries and the influence on the formation of morality and culture, systemic knowledge of the literature of England, English language skills based on reading and discussion of a work of art. The educational material of the first book reproduces modern literary periodization, offers material concerning the era of early and medieval English literature, ends with a period of romanticism (late 18th - early 19th century). The second book covers the period from the Victorian era to modern postmodernism. The manuals contain information about literary periods, introduce bright representatives of literary trends, their life and creative path, include unadapted excerpts of some works, contain tasks for understanding what they read, developing critical thinking and creative abilities of students. The application offers keys to some tasks, a glossary of literary terms, a list of names with transcription and an English-Ukrainian dictionary.
