The Kremlin and fortresses are witnesses to the formation and development of the Russian state. They stood guard over its borders; saw feats and betrayals, crowning the kingdom and executions, fratricidal wars and the heroism of defenders. They saw off to death and met the winners, so they know how the Russian character was tempered. And now these stone heroes will tell us their story.
