"Should we still be ashamed of Munich?" - asked the English newspaper Sunday Express, trying to rehabilitate those who in the 30s gave the "green street" of Hitler's aggression, and at the same time justify the modern Munich policy of the Western powers. Using widely the materials of the Nuremberg trials, including those little known to the Soviet reader, the author shows that it was Munich that opened the floodgates of Nazi aggression, that without Munich there would be not only war, but also Auschwitz and Treblinka, Lidice and Oradour.
