The collection of articles offered to the attention of the Soviet reader was published in the German Democratic Republic on the 20th anniversary of the attack of Nazi Germany on Poland. Historians of the German Democratic Republic and the Polish People's Republic took part in the compilation of the collection. It gives a fairly complete picture of the preparation and implementation of Hitler's aggression against the Polish people, enriched by the results of the latest research.
