The publication, prepared by Russian and Belarusian scientists, is a scientific publication of the oldest documents on the history of the Polotsk land 1263-1511. agreements on relations between Polotsk and Riga, correspondence between the authorities and ordinary residents of these cities, the authorities of the Teutonic Order, documents of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and their chancellery, messages of the Polotsk bishops. The monuments of written culture presented in the publication cover a wide range of issues of economics, politics, public life, cultural, including interfaith, ties and are a vivid evidence of the centuries-old experience of interaction between residents and their neighbors.
