Creating this book, the author set out to find general patterns in the development of art to varying degrees close to each other eastern countries, such as China, Japan, Indonesia, Nepal. In addition to art history analysis and excursions into the history of art of certain regions of Asia, the book also contains philosophical and theoretical research related to the European understanding of such categories as canon and tradition, canon and iconography, sacrality and secularity.
