Bryusov's role in cultural construction in the post-revolutionary years was enormous. They did not shout, did not exhibit, but did the job. They carried high culture to the masses in the most direct, unambiguous, non-metaphoric sense of the word. The colossal pedagogical, "cultural training," educational, mentoring activities of Bryusov should not be forgotten now.
