The proposed work of the famous philosopher G.-G. Gadamer is devoted to the analysis of one of Plato's most interesting dialogues, the Phileb dialogue. It is of interest, on the one hand, as a serious historical and philosophical study, and on the other, as an important stage in the formation of philosophical hermeneutics as an original and influential philosophical trend. The work was written in 1931. Previously not translated.
