Izumi Tanaka has become a princess who wears trousers instead of pastel dresses, dates her former guard and has a Tamagochi dog with an unknown pedigree. The princess's father, the crown prince, also defiantly rejects imperial rules and traditions, as he resumed relations with Izumi's mother. Ms Tanaka could cause a succession crisis to the throne. And while the imperial court dreams of ending this relationship, the crown prince announces that he intends to marry his American lover. The Council of the Imperial Court is expected to vote against.
