The fifth volume of the periodical of the Institute of Archeology of Crimea of ​ ​ the Russian Academy of Sciences is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist, professor, doctor of historical sciences Ella Isaakovna Solomonik, who left a bright mark in the historical science and social activities of Crimea and made a significant contribution to the study of the oldest pages of the history of the peninsula. The articles included in the fifth volume of "History and Archeology of Crimea" cover a wide chronological range, from the Bronze Age to the late Middle Ages.
