Recently, many books and articles have appeared that interpret the events of July 17, 1918, which took place in the house of the merchant Ipatiev in Yekaterinburg. The main document relating to those days remains the book of the judicial investigator for especially important cases of the Omsk District Court N. A. Sokolov "The Murder of the Royal Family" (1925). It is complemented by the memoirs of General M.K. Dieterichs, published in 1922, and excerpts from the book of the teacher of the royal family P. Gilliard. Various documents are also printed.
