In this book, the recognized master of yoga and the founder of his own school B.K.S. Iyengar gives his interpretation of the famous ancient Indian treatise - the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Separate monographs have already been devoted to the work, many comments have been written on them. However, according to Iyengar, translations are sometimes difficult to understand, comments are also difficult to perceive; and interpretations differ from each other. Nevertheless, the author does not lose hope that he will be able to help those who follow the path of self-knowledge with him. The book contains Sanskrit terms, which are contained in sutras, and their dictionary definitions. The master selected those that, in the light of his own practice and experience, he considered the most accurate.
