Monograph by V.V. Ivanov is dedicated to the history of the Gabima Theater as a unique utopia of the "biblical theater." It covers his Moscow seasons from 1917, when the theater was created with the direct assistance of K.S. Stanisyaavsky and with the artistic leadership of E.B. Vakhtangov, until the turn of the thirties, when the troupe last turned to the help of Moscow directors: A.D. Dikogo, M.A. Chekhov and A.M. Granovsky.
