Processes of uncontrolled combustion and explosion are considered from the standpoint of physicochemical laws. The mechanisms of occurrence, propagation and cessation of combustion, the theory of chain, thermal and detonation explosion are described. Provisions on the mechanical effect of the explosion are described. The characteristics of the main explosives produced by the industry and the quantitative characteristics of the combustion and explosion processes considered are given.
