The book makes its first attempt to reflect the glaring contradiction between propaganda and the essence of Soviet humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, the occupation nature of the activities of specialists from Moscow, Leningrad, Alma-Ata, Dushanbe, Kyiv, Odessa, Rostov-on-Don and other cities of the former USSR, acute conflicts between Afghan and Soviet collectives, and inside the latter, to reveal the shadow sides of the imperial work of advisers, diplomatic workers and party workers on the long-suffering Afghan land.
