The works of art and journalistic articles of Bogdan Petricheiku Hashdeu, included in this collection, were written in the sixties - in the early seventies of the 20th century. They have not yet been printed in the Russian translation. Thus, for the first time, a wide circle of readers of the Soviet Union gets the opportunity to get acquainted, albeit only partially, with the multilateral work of this talented artist, the largest scientist and fiery publicist. Along with such writers of the 19th century as Alexandru Donic, Kostake Negruzzi, Alecu Russo, Vasile Alexandri, Ion Creangă, Mikhail Eminescu, B. P. Hashdeu is a classic of both Moldavian and Romanian literature.
