In this publication, the three most famous collections of folklore texts published in English and French, both in scientific and wide reading circles, are reproduced almost in full. These texts attract attention not only by themselves, but also by how they are "submitted" by collectors who used completely different methods of collecting and processing materials - from professional ethnographic publication of "raw materials" to flowery literary adaptation.
