The book examines the naturalistic traditions of the socio-philosophical thought of India from its inception until the middle of the 20th century. Their important role in stimulating the cognitive process, their connection with advanced social and ideological movements is shown. The ancient system of philosophical naturalism - svabhava-vada, as well as the teachings of the original thinker of the Dev Atma time, were subjected to a special analysis.
