The book "Where American Imperialism Goes" by the French communist Henri Claude, the Russian translation of which is offered to the attention of readers, is of considerable interest. The book poses a number of new questions that will attract the attention of readers and cause a fruitful exchange of views. The book, which is given in the Russian edition with small abbreviations, exposed the entire inconsistency of the notorious "theory" of the apologists of capitalism about the allegedly "exceptional nature" of American capitalism. This "theory," in its current postwar form, attempts to portray American capitalism not only as a special kind of capitalism that is supposedly "excluded" from the laws governing the rest of the capitalist world, but also as a system that can supposedly revive dying European capitalism.
