This issue of the Yearbook is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding Russian historian-franker Albert Zakharovich Manfred (1906-1976). The first section of the issue publishes memoirs of people who personally knew the scientist, and articles about his work. The second section contains the works of Russian and French researchers on the history of the Napoleon era - the hero of one of the best books by A.Z. Manfred.
