The Encyclopedia of Symbolism, first translated into Russian, is a kind of guide to a complex and controversial era, called the "era of symbolism." Painting and literature, sculpture and music of the late XIX - early XX centuries are represented by the famous and little-known names of those whose life and work are associated with the culture of the transitional era, the greatest achievements of which are an integral part of the art of the XX century.
