The textbook highlights the main issues of young, emerging science - ocean geography. The structure of the earth's crust and hydrosphere in the ocean is considered, a description of the nature of each ocean is given. The problems of physical and geographical zoning and zoning, interaction of geographical shells in the ocean, the problem of "ocean and man," as well as hypotheses of the origin and history of the World Ocean are considered.
