The proposed monograph is dedicated to the work of the Venerable Bede (6723-735), an outstanding church writer and theologian of the early Middle Ages. The writer's works are vivid examples of the most common genres in the Middle Ages - life, biography, messages, sermons. There is a connection between the theoretical knowledge of Beda in the field of rhetoric and the reflection of these views in the structure of his works. The work of the Anglo-Saxon writer is considered as a synthesis of cultural traditions that existed in England in the 7th-8th centuries.
