In recent years, a number of official government documents from the period 1945-1950 have become known in the United States of America, which until now have been stored in the Pentagon's armored safes, usually under the heading "top secret." There were reasons for this, because it irrefutably follows from the documents that the United States, immediately after the end of World War II, not only unleashed the Cold War, but also, pursuing a policy of "containing" and "discarding" socialism, began preparations for a "hot," atomic war with the Soviet Union.
