The ninth book in the series "History of African countries." This collective monograph focuses on the political, socio-economic and cultural life of Sudan over the past two centuries (three periods of independent existence interspersed with two colonial periods). Separate chapters are devoted to the history of Sudan in the 19th century, in the years before the First World War, during the World Wars and between them, in the post-war period and in the era after independence.
